The possibilities for designing your dream car with Audi exclusive are many and varied, depending on the model you have chosen. Here are just a few of them:

Outside:

- Color

You can choose a customized paint finish with different effects, such as the matte finish on some RS models.

- Exterior mirror housing

Depending on the model, the exterior mirror housing can be painted in the color of your choice.

Inside:

- Leather interiors

Depending on the model, seat upholstery, head restraints, door trims, door armrests, door panels, speaker trim, center console and center armrests, dashboard and gearshift, headliner and seat belts can be selected as a set or individually in different leather types and colors.

- Decorative inserts

You can choose from a variety of colors, materials and woods for the door panels and center console.

 
- Floor mats

Piping and stitching can be freely selected from the range of colors available from Audi exclusive.

- Door sills

Customization and lightning available, depending on the model and configuration.

Depending on the model, other special customization requests are possible, such as embroidered initials. These customization requests can be forwarded directly to your Audi Dealership.

Colors: a wide selection of over 50 paint colors is available, allowing you to customize your vehicle as you wish. To meet the high standards of Audi and Audi Sport and to be able to guarantee extremely high paint quality over the long term, we have state-of-the-art paint shops. The desired color is mixed from organic and inorganic pigments. Organic pigments guarantee color brightness, while inorganic pigments are highly resistant to aging. In combination, they guarantee long-lasting color intensity. The main requirement for an Audi exclusive custom paint finish is a uniform appearance on all materials that will last over the years. To this end, each color is meticulously tested before being launched, because quality and guaranteed satisfaction are our top priorities.

Metallic paints: if you add metallic flakes to the paint, you get the fascinating effect of metallic paints. The plates are usually made of aluminum or brass, and must be worked with the utmost care to ensure they do not break.

Pearl-effect paints: pearl-effect paints have different shades of color depending on the viewing angle. This effect is achieved by using pearlescent pigments that produce a difference in luminosity depending on the angle at which light strikes them. This gives them a particular depth with a fascinating display of vivid colors.

Matt finishes: matt finishes are also available for some models. The following colors are currently available: Nardo Grey Matt Effect, Daytona Grey Matt Effect, Suzuka Grey Matt Effect, Ibis White Matt Effect, Florett Silver Matt Effect, Glacier White Matt Effect and Vegas Yellow Matt Effect.

Leather: leather is a unique natural product, no two pieces are the same, and this is our exact philosophy at Audi. When processing leather, it is very important to ensure that the parts processed for the interior match perfectly. High-quality selection of the leathers used, and meticulous processing ensure that the natural look is maintained, while creating a strong, durable material. All types of leather used are chrome-free tanned and breathable. The materials are of the highest quality so that small scratches remain almost invisible with use.

Valcona leather: Valcona leather is lightly varnished, extremely breathable and has no artificial embossing.

Fine nappa leather: fine nappa leather has a medium varnish layer, is moderately breathable and has a low level of artificial embossing.

Wood and decorations: Audi exclusive uses only a selection of genuine woods that accentuate the character of the vehicle. The range extends from classic oak to fascinating wood species such as fine-grained myrtle, open-pored ash and eucalyptus. Decorative elements in open-pore wood have the typical feel of natural wood. The interior becomes a unique space of tranquility, where you feel at home. As a matter of principle, Audi does not use tropical wood, even if it comes from a plantation.

Leather: For the seats, we use hides from Southern European cattle, which have a particular surface-to-thickness ratio and are therefore particularly suitable. The leather from the animals’ backs is of the highest quality, as it has a uniform fiber structure and rarely shows cracks or wounds. To be treated as Audi exclusive leather, the following quality criteria must be met:

Chrome-free tanning process: As a pioneer in the automotive industry, Audi stopped using chromium salts over twenty years ago to avoid waste contaminated with heavy metals. Audi uses only chrome-free tanned leather, and therefore assumes an ethical obligation regarding leather production.

Surface protection: We create different finishes depending on the quality of the leather, but always guaranteeing maximum breathability.

Test cycle: to guarantee the quality of our leathers, they undergo extreme resistance tests, such as high temperature differences, strong heat effects due to exposure to the sun, entry and exit of the driver, transport of heavy, hard objects or perspiration. Before being processed for Audi, leather must undergo over 30 different tests. Laboratory tests include abrasion resistance, light fastness, shrinkage behavior, flexural strength, tensile strength, internal emissions, and fire behavior. Only when all tests have been passed is the leather used for seats and interior parts. The tests last over 12 months.

Wood/Decorations: at Audi we only use real wood, never tropical wood, even if it has been grown in a plantation. Thin veneer sheets for decorative inserts are extracted from bramble trunks and burls. In addition, a set of parts is usually extracted from a single source, so that the individual parts of the vehicle retain the same appearance. After production, thorough quality control is carried out. For example, ultraviolet light is used to check for cracks or inclusions, and the condition of the sealing layer. Top coats are scratch-resistant during cleaning and contain a UV inhibitor that guarantees long-term color fastness.

The digital or printed image of a real product is only an approximation. The level of reality depends, among other things, on the color and brightness settings of the screen or even the ambient light.
